My name is Jamie Tipton and I am lucky to live in beautiful Missoula, Montana, where I work as a book designer.
With a passion for creating meaningful communication and engagement, I’m the owner and primary designer at Open Heart Designs. I do all kinds of graphic design for print, including designing and laying out books and other multi-page publications, brochures, flyers, catalogs, mailers, annual reports, signage as well as graphics for websites.
In my life and my work, I seek to uncover a life lived from the heart. The mountains of Montana reveal the ever-evolving living processes of earth, extraordinary and yet utterly natural. So much is to be learned from the earth, and I feel very deeply – from my heart – that my energy and talents are called to support efforts to care for, heal and protect our earth.
Open Heart Designs is a response to that call. For over twenty years, with skills in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, I have created effective print and marketing materials ranging from newsletters to websites to brochures to book covers, business cards, logos, DVD covers, website graphics and more. I have worked successfully with clients and employers locally and throughout the United States to understand and bring forth their vision and meet their design needs. My heart is drawn to use these skills and my artist’s eye to support a healthy, beautiful and sustainable world.
